Ever been depressed, sad, down and out? Feeling anxious or worried? What the hell for? Seriously … what are you allowing to have power over you?  Fear? Worry? Anxiety?’

Your best life is on the other side of these feelings (especially worry).. I promise you. I know… from personal experience. Let’s not give any power to these feelings. NONE.

Worry is dis-empowering. It will rob you of your today. If your today is filled with your worries about yesterday and tomorrow… your today is wasted in ruin. 

In my day to day connections with friends, family, and clients I have noticed that ‘worry’ pops up often. Worry often becomes the excuse that leads to another excuse.. which becomes perpetual avoidance, procrastination, depression, and laziness.

It’s worrying that prevents you from acting. It’s worry that keeps you stuck.  It’s time to stop giving so much power to a fear that has no real foundation.

Worry can destroy your hopes, dreams, and life.

Today… I refuse to let worry in. It has no place in my life. I wish the same for you.

Let’s get right into the nitty-gritty concerning the problem with ‘yesterday’ and ‘tomorrow’.

There are two days in every week … that we should not worry about, two days which should be kept free from fear and concern.

One of these days is YESTERDAY, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.  YESTERDAY has passed forever beyond our control.

All The money in the world can’t bring back YESTERDAY. We can’t undo a single act we performed, we can’t erase a single thought or word we said… YESTERDAY IS GONE.

The other day we should not worry about is TOMORROW with its possible adversaries, it burdens its large promises, and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow’s sun will rise, either in magnificence or behind a mask of clouds- BUT IT WILL RISE.  Until it does we have no stake in TOMORROW .. for it is … UNBORN.

So, this leave us only one day. TODAY.  Any man or woman can fight the battle of just one day. It is only when you and I add the burdens of the two awful eternities of Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives men or women mad and holds them back from focusing on now… it is remorse or bitterness for something which happened YESTERDAY AND  the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

So, here’s my plea to you…. Live One Day At A Time. Focus ON Now. Today is what matters.

What you do today will be the slight edge that leads to the better tomorrow when tomorrow .. becomes your today.

Do you see commenting as a smart traffic strategy for business blogging?

If you ask me … I would say  it depends… Yes. & No.

What it comes down to is how you comment on blogs.

I created a video on blog commenting some time ago… to help other bloggers reward commentators on their blog.

Quite honestly so many people in the blogosphere do it horrendously wrong.

Let’s explore this further.

The Quick To Comment- No Matter What The Content Person … you know the person that doesn’t actually read the content but wants to leave the first comment… is a bogus, meaningless, and crappy strategy.

If one of your primary traffic strategies is to leave fast comments on the posts of larger blogs in your niche just to get a few clicks from the passing traffic, stop. You could get more traffic from one piece of value rich content than months of that type of comment strategy.

I have to be completely honest with you….

Really if your blog lacks good content, there’s no reason to attract a few “curiosity clicks” anyway. What’s going to make them stick around after the click if your content sucks?

Not one thing!

Think about it,  the main inspiration for those quick commentators  is often bad to begin with. The nature of the game makes it that way.

I’ve noticed that many new bloggers take the misguided approach of trying to be the first or second comment on every post of a larger blog. They do this because those positions in the comment stream get the most click-throughs, all other things being equal.

While the logic makes sense…..

The problem is, in the rush for “first,” the resulting blog comments are often lack-luster  and  hollow.

Sometimes it’s quite clear the commenter didn’t read the post, or missed the entire point in the hurry for top position.

However… if you are thinking that  commenting on blogs worthless… it’s time to really change course. Now.

Did you know that you can actually attract that traffic you want via a smart commenting strategy.

Here’s  How Blog Comments Can Lead to Real Traffic

First off… great content is a must. Without it, all traffic to your blog is pretty much a waste.

Beyond that, the secret to blog comments that ultimately lead to traffic establish relationships.

Yes.. you must be willing to engage and connect.

Gasping, I know.

Think about it. It’s no secret that many of the people who comment on blogs are also bloggers. They simply have more motivation to take the time to comment.

So when you meaningfully participate in the community aspect of a blog, you’re creating meaningful relationships with people who can send you significant traffic—bloggers and other active social media users.

Getting links, re-tweets, social media votes and bookmarks… this is the way that content spreads. This is the way you get real traffic that actually matters.

This doesn’t entail kissing up to the blog owner (most of us hate strategic-sounding praise). What it means is creating a network that provides the payoff for all the effort you’ve put into your content.

It takes time, but at least it actually works.

People now use blogs to publish content related to any and every topic you could imagine, ranging from how to raise kids to internet marketing to personal development – in fact, almost any topic that you can conceive of.

A blog is really just a special kind of website that lets you easily publish content whenever you want and allowing other people to interact with your content in the form of writing comments in response to whatever you published.

So, it’s quite different from the stuffy old “static” websites that do not change their content as a general rule of thumb. Blogs are a lot more fluid and interactive than the normal “old school” websites… and much more effective too!

But why have blogs become so extremely popular in the recent past?

Well, there are at least three reasons…

1. Blogs are popular with the search engines.

Because blogs get updated with new content so often, search engines lists them very high up on their search results.

This means that blogs are likely to get more traffic than normal “static” websites because more people can find them quickly and easily in search engines like Yahoo and Google.

Now, if you were a website owner, which would you prefer?  A stuffy old static website that does not change and does not get listed in the search engines, or a vibrant ever changing interactive blog that gets listed in the major search engines?

Easy decision right?

2. Blogs are interactive.

Whenever you visit a blog, you can read the original post by the author of the blog, and then you can also submit a comment expressing your own thoughts on what the blog post was about.

When other people join the “conversation”, things can get very interesting, and you could end up with a very exciting collection of thoughts from people from all over the world.

Because conversation in itself creates a bit of “drama”, people naturally get attracted to it, and want to be a part of it. And thus, the more people who do this, the faster this whole blogging thing grows.

3.  Blogs have got to be one of the easiest kind of websites to set up.

Believe it or not, but you don’t actually need any technical knowledge such as html programming and a lot of money to be able to set up your own blog.

If you can click a few buttons and type letters on your keyboard, that’s all you need for setting up your very own blog.

And in some cases, you could even set up a new blog in a matter of minutes! (although I do recommend that as a business blogger you use only premium themes, and a professional graphics)

I was speaking with a good friend of mine who is very new to blogging. She wanted to know how to get a squeeze/ sales page inside of her wordpress business blog, without having to dish out a couple hundred bucks for someone else to develop for her.

I understood her frustration, and I knew that maybe with a little research I could find what she was looking for… a simple way to add a squeeze page to help her highlight and sell her products and services.

It’s an absolutely free download and generates a pretty cool looking and simple to create capture page. The plugin also has some pretty neat SEO features that most squeeze page themes do not have. The name of the plugin is Authority Squeeze Generator.

I do not know the developers personally and this isn’t an affiliate program. It does look like they have a WordPress theme that they are selling and probably some other stuff. I haven’t checked it out but if this plugin is any indication, their products are probably pretty solid! They are giving away a ton of value.

Mastering Your Inner Game By Dan Kennedy

We’re going to talk about the inner game of building your business. I believe that the inner game is simply all-important. “The inner game” is a new term for a classic idea explained many different times, many different ways by virtually every success educator, and even philosophers. In the book Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill reveals the secret using the words, “thoughts are things.”

Dennis Waitley has worked with U.S. astronauts and Olympic athletes on their inner games. Author Tim Galloway explores the ideas of his books, The Inner Game of Golf, The Inner Game of Tennis and The Inner Game of Selling. Interestingly, there is a never-ending connection between the inner game in sport and the inner game in business, allowing experts like Waitley, Galloway, ex-quarterback Fran Tarkenton and golfer Arnold Palmer, among others, to step back and forth between expounding on success techniques in the athletic and business worlds.

In all cases, these people speak much more about attitudes than aptitudes for a good reason. Surveys, studies and research consistently reaffirm that 85% of your success will depend on attitudinal factors, 15% on aptitude. Yet in your formal education and in most continuing education, the emphasis is on the opposite – 15% on attitude, 85% on aptitude. Certainly technical knowledge and skills are important. In your profession, you must deliver excellence based on your staying up to date in techniques, products, materials and ideas. However, such excellence alone will never build a successful, growing, profitable business.

The excellence that will is an excellence created and sustained in your own mind. This is the most difficult, least tangible aspect of building your business that we’ll ever talk about, but it is also probably the most important. Yeah, but what is it? So what is the inner game?

The way I see it, the inner game can be broken down into four major components:

* Self esteem

* Self image

* Self confidence

* Self discipline

Quality in these four areas is a necessary foundation to personal and professional success. Self Esteem Self Esteem is essentially your feelings of worth. How much success do you deserve?

How much money should you make? How much is your time worth? Here, briefly, are seven ideas for strengthening self-esteem:

1. Establish worthwhile, meaningful goals and values.

2. Take massive action to get your own financial house in order if it isn’t now. Reduce debt, bring expenses under income, and invest every single month.

3. Give yourself recognition for each and every accomplishment.

4. Manage your time productively. Procrastination and disorganization rob many people of their self-esteem.

5. Associate with positive-minded, happy people who encourage and motivate you. Don’t hang out with folks who are negative, unhappy, critical or jealous.

6. Continually acquire new know-how in your profession and in the areas of business, sales and communication.

7. Regularly invest in improving your office and home environments, tools and equipment, wardrobe and other external things that impact on your attitudes.

Self Image

Self-image is how you see yourself; it’s who you think you are. Your self-image is controlled mostly by self-imposed limits. Very few people ever perform beyond those self-imposed limits.

A salesman whose father never earned more than $25,000 a year in his life may well see himself as a $25,000 a year guy. And he will subconsciously screw up the opportunities to earn more that come his way.

In the financial area, the controversial Reverend Ike calls this a money rejection syndrome, and I am convinced that such a thing definitely exists. One man I know, who made over $100 million in his business in its first three years from scratch, had gone broke in business several times before. After the three years of remarkable success, he said, “Making $100 million is about the easiest thing I’ve ever done. Believing it could happen to me was the hard part that took 20 years.”

Your self-image was created and is sustained through self talk, the use of affirmations – and that is also the method you can use to alter and modify your self image, literally as you wish.

I call the process self image goal setting, because most people who set goals set only “to get” and “to have” goals; they fail to set “to be” goals. I encourage you to balance your approach to goal setting by including some self-image modification.

Self Discipline

Self-Discipline, the fourth component of the inner game, is quite possibly the most important.

Success lecturer Jim Rohn says that most people do not associate lack of discipline with lack of success.

Most people think of failure as one earth-shattering event, such as a company going out of business or a home being foreclosed on. This, however, Jim Rohn says, is how failure happens.

Failure is rarely the result of some isolated event; rather, it is a consequence of a long list of accumulated little failures, which happen as a result of too little discipline. I agree. I find that most people understandably tend to look everywhere but in the mirror for the sources of their failures as well as the victories.

I’m here to tell you it’s not the town you’re in, not your location, not the economy, not the weather, not your competitors – it’s your own discipline that makes the difference between excellence or mediocrity, between getting by or getting rich.

It’s interesting to observe professionals. I often say to my associates, “Let me watch the professional’s behavior before, during and after the seminar, and I’ll guess his annual income within a few thousand dollars.” It’s actually pretty easy to do.

Jim Rohn says that discipline is the bridge between thought and accomplishment.
I’d encourage you to take the self-discipline challenge very seriously.

Select those areas that you know are your weakest links – timely paperwork, punctuality, daily self-improvement study, being happy and enthusiastic first thing in the morning, whatever your personal stumbling blocks are – and apply new, tough, demanding disciplines to yourself in those areas.

You’ll find that success in these particular areas of your day-to-day life will roll over into greater success in all parts of your life.

For example, let’s look at the ultimate game players – professional football players.
A pro ball player knows that every single moment of his on-the-job performance is recorded on film, to be replayed and reviewed later in stop-action slow motion, for critique by his superiors and co-workers.

If your day was filmed and reviewed, how would you feel during the replay?
Of course, the professional football players who have to put up with this sort of thing are highly paid.

Yes, the inner game stuff is tough. If being a big success were easy, everybody would be one. You’ve got to decide what you really want to be, do, have, accomplish – and decide whether or not you’re willing to adhere to the disciplines necessary to get it.

In order to have the opportunity to accomplish virtually any goals you honestly desire, you must accept the related responsibility for everything you get.

How do you discover your real purpose in life? I’m not talking about your job, your daily responsibilities, or even your long-term goals. I mean the real reason why you’re here at all — the very reason you exist.

Perhaps you’re a rather nihilistic person who doesn’t believe you have a purpose and that life has no meaning. Doesn’t matter. Not believing that you have a purpose won’t prevent you from discovering it, just as a lack of belief in gravity won’t prevent you from tripping.

All that a lack of belief will do is make it take longer, so if you’re one of those people, just change the number 20 in the title of this blog entry to 40 (or 60 if you’re really stubborn). Most likely though if you don’t believe you have a purpose, then you probably won’t believe what I’m saying anyway, but even so, what’s the risk of investing an hour just in case?

Here’s a story about Bruce Lee which sets the stage for this little exercise. A master martial artist asked Bruce to teach him everything Bruce knew about martial arts. Bruce held up two cups, both filled with liquid. “The first cup,” said Bruce, “represents all of your knowledge about martial arts. The second cup represents all of my knowledge about martial arts. If you want to fill your cup with my knowledge, you must first empty your cup of your knowledge.”

If you want to discover your true purpose in life, you must first empty your mind of all the false purposes you’ve been taught (including the idea that you may have no purpose at all).

So how to discover your purpose in life? While there are many ways to do this, some of them fairly involved, here is one of the simplest that anyone can do.

The more open you are to this process, and the more you expect it to work, the faster it will work for you. But not being open to it or having doubts about it or thinking it’s an entirely idiotic and meaningless waste of time won’t prevent it from working as long as you stick with it — again, it will just take longer to converge.

Here’s what to do:

1. Take out a blank sheet of paper or open up a word processor where you can type (I prefer the latter because it’s faster).
2. Write at the top, “What is my true purpose in life?”
3. Write an answer (any answer) that pops into your head. It doesn’t have to be a complete sentence. A short phrase is fine.
4. Repeat step 3 until you write the answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

That’s it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a counselor or an engineer or a bodybuilder. To some people this exercise will make perfect sense. To others it will seem utterly stupid.

Usually it takes 15-20 minutes to clear your head of all the clutter and the social conditioning about what you think your purpose in life is. The false answers will come from your mind and your memories. But when the true answer finally arrives, it will feel like it’s coming to you from a different source entirely.

For those who are very entrenched in low-awareness living, it will take a lot longer to get all the false answers out, possibly more than an hour. But if you persist, after 100 or 200 or maybe even 500 answers, you’ll be struck by the answer that causes you to surge with emotion, the answer that breaks you. If you’ve never done this, it may very well sound silly to you. So let it seem silly, and do it anyway.

As you go through this process, some of your answers will be very similar. You may even re-list previous answers. Then you might head off on a new tangent and generate 10-20 more answers along some other theme. And that’s fine. You can list whatever answer pops into your head as long as you just keep writing.

At some point during the process (typically after about 50-100 answers), you may want to quit and just can’t see it converging. You may feel the urge to get up and make an excuse to do something else. That’s normal. Push past this resistance, and just keep writing. The feeling of resistance will eventually pass.

You may also discover a few answers that seem to give you a mini-surge of emotion, but they don’t quite make you cry — they’re just a bit off. Highlight those answers as you go along, so you can come back to them to generate new permutations. Each reflects a piece of your purpose, but individually they aren’t complete. When you start getting these kinds of answers, it just means you’re getting warm. Keep going.

It’s important to do this alone and with no interruptions. If you’re a nihilist, then feel free to start with the answer, “I don’t have a purpose,” or “Life is meaningless,” and take it from there. If you keep at it, you’ll still eventually converge.

When I did this exercise, it took me about 25 minutes, and I reached my final answer at step 106. Partial pieces of the answer (mini-surges) appeared at steps 17, 39, and 53, and then the bulk of it fell into place and was refined through steps 100-106.

I felt the feeling of resistance (wanting to get up and do something else, expecting the process to fail, feeling very impatient and even irritated) around steps 55-60. At step 80 I took a 2-minute break to close my eyes, relax, clear my mind, and to focus on the intention for the answer to come to me — this was helpful as the answers I received after this break began to have greater clarity.

Here was my final answer: to live consciously and courageously, to resonate with love and compassion, to awaken the great spirits within others, and to leave this world in peace.

When you find your own unique answer to the question of why you’re here, you will feel it resonate with you deeply. The words will seem to have a special energy to you, and you will feel that energy whenever you read them.

Discovering your purpose is the easy part. The hard part is keeping it with you on a daily basis and working on yourself to the point where you become that purpose.

If you’re inclined to ask why this little process works, just put that question aside until after you’ve successfully completed it. Once you’ve done that, you’ll probably have your own answer to why it works.

Most likely if you ask 10 different people why this works (people who’ve successfully completed it), you’ll get 10 different answers, all filtered through their individual belief systems, and each will contain its own reflection of truth.

Obviously, this process won’t work if you quit before convergence. I’d guesstimate that 80-90% of people should achieve convergence in less than an hour. If you’re really entrenched in your beliefs and resistant to the process, maybe it will take you 5 sessions and 3 hours, but I suspect that such people will simply quit early (like within the first 15 minutes) or won’t even attempt it at all.

But if you’re drawn to read this blog (and haven’t been inclined to ban it from your life yet), then it’s doubtful you fall into this group.

Give it a shot! At the very least, you’ll learn one of two things: your true purpose in life -or- that you should unsubscribe from this blog.

Okay, so if the idea of Social Bookmarketing sound foreign to you, no worries.. let’s first define it.

According to wikipedia:

“Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to organize, store, manage and search for bookmarks of resources online. Many online bookmark management services have launched since 1996; Delicious, founded in 2003, popularized the terms “social bookmarking” and “tagging“. Tagging is a significant feature of social bookmarking systems…”

Business bloggers, website owners, and webmasters are always on the search for new simple ways of increasing website traffic. They could be either selling ads, banners or various services and products. The most recent trend that is growing rapidly is social bookmarking. This is a location where people come to together and communicate online. These types of websites and social networking are incredible places to advertise.

For any blogger, automated bookmarking software is necessary. By using a special automation tool, it allows the possibility of submitting links to a great amount of websites. This will contribute in creating a large amount of backlinks for websites on high page rank Internet locations.

This is not to say manual submission is not a possibility. However, by using automated services, this reduces the time spent this process. Could you imagine the time one can save trying to submit to 20 or 40 social bookmarking services? For this reason, this type of software is essential.

Today we are going to talk about how you can market your products and services with RSS.

RSS is nowadays the most popular tool surfers have to stay informed about what is going on any given website that generates feeds to broadcast updates. If you have a website, you can benefit from syndication producing your own feeds.

Outlining a marketing strategy sometimes is a lengthy process, but including RSS as a part of a promotional campaign does not require further effort once it is running because feeds update automatically every time something new is published, whether content, announcements, invites, etc.

What you need to market your products or services via RSS is a web application capable to generate feeds and content or articles that you want to syndicate. External sites offering your RSS feeds will spread out news as often as you update your own content, so you do not have to worry about delivering over and over any announcement. RSS is an automatic and unattended process that sometimes can be scheduled on a regular basis, depending on your website’s core application features.

With RSS, updates occur in real-time and at the same time in both RSS aggregators and websites syndicating your content. Because the update is made simultaneously, you do not need to worry about outdated information left somewhere out there. If new content is added, modified or deleted, RSS will update all subscribers and replicating sources.

With RSS feeds, you possibilities to succeed marketing your products and services are endless, and feeds increase target traffic, because people who click on a link associated to your feed are directed to your website, finding there all what you have to offer them.

12 More Ways To Easily Get More Readers To Opt-in To Your Business Blog

12. Publish new posts frequently and consistently. By frequently I mean publishing many posts per week or even per day, and by consistently I mean sticking with that frequency religiously. Those two factors will communicate to the visitors that your blog is active, and that subscribing to the RSS feed might be the best way to stay updated with it indeed.

13. Don’t exaggerate. While writing many posts per week or per day is usually a good thing, there is a limit to it. Many people mention that if a certain blog starts overwhelming them with dozens of new posts a day, they will just unsubscribe. The exceptions to this rule are the blogs on fast paced niches like gadget news.

14. Write valuable content. People will only subscribe to your RSS feed if there is some value that they can derive from it. This value might come from different different factors depending on your audience: it may come from the breaking news that you offer, from the deep analysis that you write, or from the funny things you say and so on, but it must be there.

15. Write unique content. You content might be valuable, but if people can find it elsewhere, they will have no reason to subscribe to your RSS feed. For example, suppose you copy all posts from a popular blog on your niche, say Mashable. You content would still be valuable, but it would not be unique, and most people would end up subscribing to the original source.

16. Don’t ramble or go off topic. If your blog has a clear focus as we suggested before, readers will subscribe to it for a very specific reason. If you then start writing about off topic stuff, it will annoy a great part of them. Just consider that a bad or unrelated post is worse than no post at all, since it might make some of your readers actually unsubscribe.

17. Use your RSS feed link when commenting on other blogs. Many bloggers have the habit of commenting on other people’s blogs. Some do it simply to join the conversation. Others because they want to promote their own blogs and generate some traffic. Either way, you can leave your RSS feed link instead of the website one to encourage people to subscribe to your feed (if you use Feedburner, they will be able to see your content anyway).

If you are using comment luv (if you are not, here is a video that will walk you through getting commentluv set up on your blog), and the blog that you are commenting on is a well… your feed will show on their comments section, which is very cool (especially if you share very valuable content).

18. Run a contest. Contests are very popular on the blogosphere. If you have a somewhat popular blog, in fact, it is not difficult to raise some prizes and create one. By making subscribing to your RSS feed a requirement to participate, you could quickly boost the number of subscribers that you have. If you want to control who is going to take this action, use the email subscription method.

19. Offer random prizes to your subscribers. If you are not a fan of contests and competitions, you could always entice people to subscribe to your RSS feed by giving away random prizes. For example, if some company approaches you to donate some free copies of its product, you could in turn donate it to your subscribers

20. Write guest posts. Guest posts represent a very efficient technique for generating both brand awareness and traffic. If you guest blog on a popular blog on your same niche, there is also a good chance that a good percentage of that incoming traffic will end up subscribing to your feed.

21. Welcome the new readers. Whenever you manage to land a guest post on a really popular blog, or when you get mentioned on a larger website or mainstream site, it could be a good idea to write a specific post to welcome those readers. Use that post to describe your blog briefly, to talk a bit about yourself, and to encourage them to subscribe.

22. Go popular on social bookmarking sites. Some people say that the quality of the traffic coming from social bookmarking sites (e.g., Digg and StumbleUpon) is very low. This is true to some extent, because those visitors will rarely click on anything on your page (including on the subscribe link). Because of the sheer amount of traffic that you can get on those sites, however, even a really small conversion rate could easily mean 200 or 300 new subscribers in a matter of 24 hours.

23. Explain to your readers what is RSS. As we mentioned before, it is estimated that less than 10% of the popular know about or use RSS feeds. Can you do anything about this? Sure you can! Write a post teaching your readers what RSS is, why it is good, and how they can start using it. It works particularly well on blogs that have a non tech-savvy audience.
